Michael Battersby Michael Battersby is the founder and director of Battersby and Co. Prior to his legal career, Michael was in business himself, running a successful Auckland landscape design and construction firm for a number of years. He has worked in large national law firms in the corporate, commercial and finance areas, and also has overseas experience in shipping and commercial law. Michael holds a Masters in Commercial Law from Auckland University and is a member of IPSANZ (Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand). He was Vice-President of the New Zealand Technology Law Society from 2002 to 2007.
Pauleen Corpuz Pauleen has been a law clerk with Battersby and Co since July 2009. She is originally from Manila and completed her BCom/LLB with Commercial Law and Accounting as majors. Pauleen holds a Diploma in Business and Management from Auckland University of Technology, and has previously worked as a customer service officer with ASB Bank and Kiwibank in Auckland. Pauleen has a particular interest in international business law.
Hea Soo Park Originally from Korea, Hea Soo 박혜수 has been a law clerk with us since October 2010. Hea Soo graduated from the University of Waikato in 2009 with an LLB majoring in Law and Information Technology and was admitted to the Bar in 2010. In 2010 Hea Soo completed papers in Environmental and Franchising Law towards an LLM. Hea Soo is interested in technology and computer law, and doing business with Korea.
Felicity Hullah Felicity joined us in October 2010 as a part-time Law Clerk. She is originally from New Plymouth and is currently studying for her BCom/LLB (Hons) with Commerce majors in Accounting and Information Systems. Felicity currently holds a Bonded Merit Scholarship and received an ASB Scholarship in 2007. Felicity’s long term goal is to become an exceptional commercial lawyer.
Jennifer Shi Jennifer Shi 石逸璞 joined us in October 2011 as a Law Clerk. Jenni is originally from Shanghai and has completed her law degree at Victoria University, Wellington. Jenni is continuing her conjoint BCom (Accounting) at Auckland University part-time. Jennifer is fluent in English and Mandarin and competent in basic Japanese. She is actively interested in New Zealand and Asian business.
